[Gazebo-list] Problem starting gzserver and gzclient (stuck)

Hi,

I see that at least one people has the same problem that I, as stated in [1]. 
For some reason both gzserver and gzclient get stuck when started with the 
message "Msg Waiting for master".

Does anyone else have this issue? Does anyone know what the problem is?

Compilation went without problems (with minor openSUSE patches) and I confirmed 
that the environment variables were correctly set.

I tested gazebo-1.0.0-RC2 using openSUSE 12.1.
